The new bankruptcy law has added a credit counseling requirement. You must complete the credit counseling and obtain a certificate.  Please contact Springboard Nonprofit Consumer Credit Management, Inc.  The phone number is 800-947-3752.  The website is www.credit.org.  Springboard will send your certificate to our offices by facsimile.  Please note there is a fee for the credit counseling services.


STEP THREE:  PREPARE YOUR DOCUMENTS

Request a bankruptcy information packet

Send an e-mail to kjplawnet@aol.com


 1.   The consumer credit counseling certificate.  

2.   A complete  list of all your creditors.  

3.   A copy of your credit report or copies of your bills.
 

4   Copies of paystubs and proof of all other income for the last six months.
  

5.   A copy of your most recent tax return.
